I'm Melissa Lowe, a Nutrition & Health Coach & mum of 3
We didn't used to eat healthy. White bread, muesli bars and 2-minute noodles were a big part of our life. And overtime our health issues began to appear.
I knew we had to make changes, but I just didn't know where to start or what to do.
It seemed all those healthy people out there had the knowledge, motivation, time and money to live a healthy life and I just didn't.
I felt overwhelmed and lost.
Eventually, I found a way out
After multiple failed visits to doctors and other health specialists we decided to take control of our own health and went and saw a Health Coach who encouraged us to make some changes to our diet.
It was hard at first, but the results were amazing - my PMS disappeared, by skin cleared up, I lost weight, gained energy, reduced digestive issues, improve immunity and just felt like I had turned the 'healthy switch' on in my body.
That's when I decided I wanted to help other women
I became a Nutrition and pH360 Health Coach, and also trained in Hormonal Health.
However, I knew that health wasn't just about food and exercise. It also needs to be about how you live your life, your mindset, your stress management, your sleep, your hormones, immunity, gut health, work life, relationships and so much more.

WHY GROUP COACHING?
Being surrounded and supported by a team of others is going to keep you more motivated and accountable. Plus, you can also share your knowledge and advice with them as well. You'll have others that can relate to what you may be struggling with and will be able to help you when you feel stuck and need motivation. Being in a group will provide trust, connection, openness and vulnerability. Plus, it's more cost effective than one on one coaching.
WILL I JUST HAVE TO EAT HEALTHY FOOD ALL THE TIME?
This programme is not about strictness, restriction, counting calories and never eating chocolate cake again. This is about working at your pace (with some encouragement) and incorporating do-able realistic changes that are going to last. So, if that means having pizza now and again, that's fine. It's what you eat most of the time, not some of the time that matters.
WHAT IF I FEEL TOO BUSY TO DO EVERYTHING?
Then this programme is perfect for you. We make changes at your pace, one step at a time with support and encouragement. However, the more effort you can put in the more results that you will achieve. But, remember, the tools and advice that you learn in this programme about your unique body and mind will last you a lifetime.
WILL I HAVE TO EAT AND DRINK THINGS THAT I DON'T LIKE AND TAKE A LOT OF SUPPLEMENTS?
No! You'll never have to eat anything you don't like. But, you'll be encouraged to discover foods that support and nourish you. Over time your taste buds will change and you will start seeking out these foods naturally. With regards to food and drinks it's about switching to healthier options that are right for your body type, as opposed to whatever it is you may have been eating before. But, it's not about perfection - you'll learn to still enjoy 'treat' foods now and again without any bingeing or guilt.
You’ll never be pressured to take any supplements that are suggested to you.
CAN I DO THIS IF I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION?
If you have a medical condition, then I recommend sharing the information with your physician/doctor. You can always adjust the meals to accommodate your health needs.

I AM UNABLE TO EAT DAIRY OR GLUTEN AND HAVE OTHER FOOD INTOLERANCES, WILL THIS AFFECT MY ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE?
Not at all. You can list foods that you don't like or have an intolerance to and this is all incorporated into your profile. No matter what your eating habits look like now, this plan will help you to make them better.
HOW DOES THIS COURSE RUN?
Initially we will have an online half hour chat so that I can learn about your health and wellness issues and what your goals are. You will also be required to complete a simple Health History form and Programme Agreement.
Then the first will be a group online session where we will be determining your body type and creating your online profile and through bone measurements and questionnaires. This usually takes one and a half hours. After that it is a weekly hour long coaching session, along with daily support in the Facebook group from myself and other mums. Also, there will be several online calls with other health experts.
WHAT TIME ARE THE LIVE CALLS AND WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT TO ALL OF THEM?
The lives calls will be done weekly at 7.30pm NZT (day yet to be advised). It would be fantastic if you could make it to them live so that you can ask questions and receive real-time advice. However, life can sometimes get in the way, so if you can't make it live now and again, you can view the recordings in the private Facebook group. You will also be able to ask questions ahead of the live call if you know you are unable to make it. Plus there will be posts daily to keep you motivated and on track. I do suggest though, that you do aim to attend the live calls as much as possible and you carve out this time each week for your own health and wellbeing.
